THERMAE - ROMA
HOSPITALITY - ON GOING

The theme of Roman baths guided the study of the space, leading to the elimination of all internal walls and creating a pathway at different levels that defines the various areas of the house. The floor, therefore, as an element of connection and spatial definition, is characterized by its cocciopesto material, seamlessly continuing into the walls, creating a monomaterial space. The spatial experience is shaped by different changes in level, allowing the user to explore the space as if it were a thermal bath journey, defining various functions and actions in sequence, until reaching the end of the path, where the floor itself, which has guided the experience, becomes flooded and transforms into a thermal bath. From here, the path can then be retraced in the opposite direction.
