Inhabit
sensorial spaces.

There are spaces that exist before they are even designed. They reveal themselves in the rhythm of a facade, in the texture of a material, in the light that touches a surface. Nothing is static, everything is relation: the past that leaves traces, the present that reinterprets them, the future that awaits to be imagined.
Architecture is not form, but relation. With time, with the context, with those who will inhabit the space. It is the meeting point between memory and invention, between function and emotion. A space to live, to feel, to traverse.
About
Giuseppe Maria Genco graduated from the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture. His studies and experiences in Italy, Spain and Switzerland have provided him with the tools to shed light and develop sensitivity to architecture as a living space for human. The relationship with the context and history, the material, the light, the tension that is generated between the void and the full are the elements which give rise to the architectural space. Each project starts with a careful study of the history of places to give life to the design research process. In the complex dichotomy between tradition and innovation, the fundamental role of materiality, light, shadows, vibrations with the context, mean that the creative process becomes a process of continuous knowledge.
